I work with the homeless and seriously mentally ill and sometimes have to go into Skid Row or other unsanitary areas. These heavy jeans protect me from anything coming into contact with me, plus, they give me that heavy duty look that probably helps to keep me safe in these locations. I also use them for hiking, as they protect me from anything brushing up against my legs. These jeans are a great value !
